OCR: OBJECTIVES. HOW THE TOP-SCORE MICHIGAN TRAINER WORKS. The Top-Score MICHIGAN trainer (T.S.M.T) is desginded to prepare you efficiently and to raise your MICHIGAN test scores. The T. S.M.T. uses videos, voices, pictures, voice comparison, written text and multiple choice questions. There are four principle parts to the T.S.M.T .: 1 - The diagnostic test and training program. 2- The progress test and training program. 3- The test simulation 4- Preparing for the interview. 1- In the diagnostic test, you must go through the same two evaluation forms as you do on the real test: - Proficiency section Grammar 40 questions Vocabulary 40 questions Reading comprehension 20 questions 100 questions - Listening section 45 questions Once you have finished the diagnostic test, the T.S.M.T. automatically scores and develops a Training Program tailored to your individual needs. In the Training Program or Practice Blocks, you must answer several questions, chosen by the T. S.M.T ., that will reenforce those areas in which you lack training. Also, while you are doing the training program, if an incorrect an'swer is given as response to a question, the T. S.M.T. will then automatically send you to the Grammar Bank where it will give you an explanation of the area of that particular question. This way the T. S. M. T not only does needs analisys but also gives you the tools you need to better your MICHIGAN Test Scores. 2- In the progress test, once again you are faced with a new test, almost exactly like the real MICHIGAN test; however, this time the T.S.M.T is measuring your progress in view that you have already gone through one Training Program. the T. S.M.T will again score your test and develop another Training Program for you to follow. 3-Test Simulation. After having gone through two training programs , you are now ready for the Test Simulation. In this part of the T.S.M.T ., you will be simulating the actual MICHIGAN test, and test scores will reflect your true MICHIGAN test scores. At this point, if you desire higher scores, you may start anew, and the T.S.M.T. will then provide you with new tests and Training programs. 4. Preparing for the interview. In this part of the program, you will have the opportunity to see 3 actual interviews. Based on these interviews, you will receive pointers on what and what not to do when your time comes to be interviewed. There is also a pronunciation and intonation practice section which compares your pronunciation and intonation with that of a native speakers. You will enjoy having the opportunity to imrpove your interview skills with real Michigan Interviewers and real interview subjects. You will not be scored; therefore, you should evaluate yourself.
